Water Recycling Plant Operations Support Officer

The role
As a WRP Operations Support Officer, you’ll play a key role in keeping our Water Recycling Plants running smoothly. This is a varied role where you’ll manage procurement and contracts, support operational systems, and help drive continuous improvement across our Treatment & Recovery Services team.
Some day-to-day activities may include:
- Coordinating procurement and contract management for goods and services
- Developing scopes and specifications for operational needs
- Managing purchase orders, invoices, and contract reviews
- Supporting quality systems and maintaining key registers
- Driving improvements in data management and business processes
- Providing general administrative and facilities support to WRP operations
This is an office- and site-based role which also includes flexibility to work from home dependent on operational requirements.
The role is available full-time or part-time (4 days per week).
Who are you?
The preferred candidate will hold a strong background in procurement and contract management. Thriving in fast-paced environments, you're also able to balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail. You'll also bring the following skills and attributes:
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, contract terms, and supplier management
- Ability to manage multiple contracts and procurement activities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to develop relationships with vendors and internal teams
- A proactive, results-driven mindset with a knack for problem-solving and process improvement
- Confidence to work independently while knowing when to escalate key decisions
- Experience with Oracle systems and project management is preferred

This role is remunerated at a Level 3, which is between $94,442 and $101,456 + super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
