Who are we?

We support healthy and liveable communities by delivering water, sewerage and recycled water services to 1.77 million people who rely on us every day and every night. At South East Water, we innovate with purpose and act with care to deliver healthy water for life. Fresh thinking and collaboration are at the heart of our organisation. We are constantly learning, embracing the challenges of today and excited by the opportunities that tomorrow will bring.
The role
South East Water is seeking an experienced Oracle Test Analyst to provide functional testing across our Oracle application landscape, including Oracle Fusion Cloud, Oracle PPM, Oracle EPM and OPC.
The successful candidate will play a key role in validating business processes across the Oracle environment, ensuring that application functionality, integrations and end-to-end processes continue to operate as expected as systems and processes evolve.
A particular focus of the role will be understanding existing business processes and translating that knowledge into effective test coverage. Where business processes or functionality are transitioned from Oracle to other enterprise platforms, such common workflow management systems, the Test Analyst will help verify that the new solution correctly reproduces the required business rules, process flows, controls and outcomes.
This role requires a strong understanding of software testing methodologies combined with practical Oracle application experience and the ability to understand complex business processes across multiple interconnected systems.
Who are you?
A passionate and driven Test Analyst with strong Oracle application experience, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience testing business processes within Oracle Fusion Cloud and associated Oracle enterprise applications.
You will be comfortable working beyond individual application screens or functional requirements, developing an understanding of the underlying business process and using that knowledge to identify test conditions, dependencies, integration points and expected business outcomes.
You will also be capable of applying this understanding when functionality is changed, redesigned or migrated to another platform, ensuring that the resulting solution continues to deliver the intended business process rather than simply reproducing individual system functions.
The following other skills, knowledge and experience will help you succeed in your new role:
-Demonstrated experience in functional and end-to-end testing of Oracle enterprise applications, preferably including Oracle Fusion Cloud, PPM, EPM and/or OPC.
-Experience developing clear, concise and comprehensive test scenarios and test cases from business processes and requirements.
-Strong understanding of end-to-end business process testing, including processes spanning multiple applications, integrations and business teams.
-Ability to analyse existing system functionality and business processes to determine business rules, process flows, dependencies, controls and expected outcomes.
-Experience testing system integrations and data flows between Oracle and other enterprise applications.
-Experience validating functionality following system transformation, process redesign or migration to another technology platforms would be highly regarded.
-Ability to distinguish between the way a process is currently implemented in a system and the business outcome or control that the process is intended to achieve.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
-Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to work effectively with Business Analysts, developers, business SMEs and application specialists.
-Working knowledge of recognised software testing methodologies and practices, with ISTQB certification highly regarded.
-Previous experience within the utilities sector or another complex enterprise environment would be advantageous.
