The role

 

The Senior Technical Business Analyst is responsible for delivering technical business analysis services across South East Water’s critical CRM (Salesforce) applications and solutions. The Senior Technical Business Analyst plays a vital part in enabling the organisation to meet its corporate objectives in customer service by driving efficiencies, resolving system defects, and ensuring the CRM provides a comprehensive 360-degree view of the customer to support effective enquiry resolution.

 

Day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Elicit, document, and manage functional and technical requirements for enhancements and projects across CRM (Salesforce) platforms.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand needs, identify gaps, and translate requirements into clear specifications and user stories.
  • Perform end-to-end data mapping and support data migration, integration, and transformation efforts across systems.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing test scenarios, coordinating testing activities, and validating that solutions meet business needs.
  • Create detailed functional use cases, process flows, and technical documentation to support solution design and delivery.
  • Work closely with developers, testers, and solution architects as part of Agile squad to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery team, identifying and implementing opportunities to improve processes and practice.

Who are you?

 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience as a Technical or IT Business Analyst, as well as the following skills and attributes:

 

  • 3+ years’ experience delivering Salesforce solutions.
  • Strong experience working with CRM platforms, ideally Salesforce, including knowledge of core objects, data structures, and user functionality.
  • Certified as Salesforce Business Analyst/Functional Consultant (preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to elicit, document, and manage both functional and technical requirements across complex IT initiatives.
  • Experience in end-to-end data mapping, system integration, and supporting data migration activities.
  • Skilled in creating functional use cases, process flows, and technical documentation to support solution design and development.
  • Experience coordinating and supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, and defect resolution.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban and SAFE) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

This role is remunerated at a Level 5 and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
