Property Development Team Leader

The role

 

The Property Development Team Leader plays a pivotal role in helping South East Water (SEW) deliver exceptional service to the Property Development industry. This position ensures SEW’s technical and financial conditions are applied to servicing applications from property developers. You will lead and support a team in a dynamic, evolving environment with a strong focus on safety, customer experience, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to achieve strategic objectives and performance KPIs.
  • Foster a high-performance culture through constructive leadership and engagement.
  • Ensure staff training and knowledge remain current, embedding new policies and procedures effectively.
  • Promote proactive safety practices and ensure compliance with all OH&S standards.
  • Resolve escalated enquiries, identify solutions, and provide feedback to enhance customer experience.
  • Drive process improvements by analysing customer feedback and implementing best practice initiatives.

 

This is a maximum term contract covering maternity leave. The contract is until 27th November 2026.

 

Who are you?

  • 5+ years experience in a leadership role with a focus on managing teams.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral skills and a demonstrated capacity for excellent customer service.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation to find win-win outcomes.
  • Intermediate analytical and computer skills including word documents, spreadsheets and other work-related databases (ICE, GT Viewer, SWIFT, Property Connect etc).
  • Advanced understanding of systems, processes, Acts & Regulations relating to all property connection and build over easement processes.
  • Relevant experience in leading high complexity operational teams in a utilities industry will be highly regarded.

This role is remunerated at a Level 5, which is between $115,748 - $122,323 + super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
