The role

This is a 12 month Secondment role working with the Property Development Team Leader, the Property Development Officer will deliver service to customers in the development, building and plumbing industries by determining the servicing and financial conditions for development projects. The role will manage development projects involving connection to drinking water, recycled water and sewerage assets, protection of these assets and consideration of alternative  solutions.   

Who are you?

To be successful in this position, you will have solid experience in a similar role along with;

 

  • Knowledge, experience of the Development, Building and Plumbing Industry for the provision of water and sewerage services, and the connection of properties to our assets
  • Knowledge of or exposure to, Water Metering and Servicing Guidelines, Sewer Servicing Guidelines and Land Development policy
  • Knowledge of the Water Act, Subdivision Act, and Melbourne Retail Water Agencies Water and Sewerage Standards
  • Knowledge of plumbing regulations and principles.
  • Knowledge of the design and/or construction of water and sewerage facilities.
  • Sound ability to analyse development proposals and determine alternative servicing options to benefit the customer and South East Water.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic principles.
  • Sound analytical and computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and other work related databases (ICE, GT Viewer, Property Connect etc).
  • High level of negotiation skills to resolve complex servicing and financial requirements with land developers, engineering consultants, plumbers, builders, councils, other authorities and external customers.
  • Experience in working within stringent time constraints.

This role is remunerated at a Level 3, which is between $91,691 and $98,501 + super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
