The role
The Digital & Transformation Team at South East Water has implemented an exciting operational enhancement to better support the company's strategic priorities. This includes the creation of a Transformation Management Office (TMO) to enhance innovation and deliver greater business impact. As part of this transformation, several new roles now exist across the team.
We believe that digital and emerging technologies have a critical role to play in enabling us to provide the highest quality water and sewerage services for our customers, as efficiently as possible and ensure we deliver on our vision. The Project Manager will manage the planning, implementation, and delivery of D&T projects, ensuring they align with strategic goals, organisational objectives & stakeholder expectations. Responsible for delivering projects to achieve outcomes, whilst adhering to timelines, budgets, and resources, this role will involve critical thinking, thought leadership, and the ability to manage complex initiatives and stakeholders.
Who are you?
In order to be considered for this Project Management role, candidates will be required to possess either a Bachelor's degree in engineering, a technical degree or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
As well as an understanding of digital transformation technologies and IT delivery practices, the following key skills, knowledge and experience will ensure the successful applicant can hit the ground running:
- Proven ability to define, plan and delivery complex digital transformation projects on time and within scope.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with sponsors, senior leaders, cross functional teams and external partners.
- Expertise in developing project scopes, schedules, budgets and resource plans aligned with business goals
- Skills in being able to identify, evaluate and mitigate risks and manage change to ensure business readiness.
- Understanding of digital transformation technologies, IT systems, and release management processes.
- Experience managing third party vendors and ensuring the delivery of service.
- Competence in producing clear, actionable reports and updates for stakeholders.
- Whilst not essential, experience within the Utilities sector is preferred

This role is remunerated at a Level 6, which is between $150K and $155K inclusive of super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
