Project Engineer - 2 Positions Available

The role

 

We're looking to add two Project Engineers to our established Asset and Program Delivery group. Reporting to the Growth Delivery Manager, the Project Engineer is responsible of ensuring the safe, timely and efficient delivery of infrastructure assets on the South East Water capital program by taking projects from inception to handover. This role will apply industry and South East Water standards to deliver critical infrastructure for the water industry, ensuring safety in design and delivery as a priority. One, or both of these Project Engineers roles will also support the Senior Project Engineer, Delivery Manager and Project Management Office in managing Project Scheduling/Programming for a range of Projects across the Capital Program.

Who are you?

 

To be successful in this position, you will have strong leadership skills and initiative, with demonstrated Project Management skills and an understanding of an infrastructure asset project lifecycle.

 

The ideal candidate has experience in a similar role, along with the following qualifications and experience:

 

  • Bachelor engineering qualification and significant experience in sewer and water infrastructure or a similar industry
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and/or Registered Engineer as recognised by Engineers Australia or Consumers Affairs Victoria (or equivalent), or working towards
  • A leader in establishing and maintaining a strong safety culture, with knowledge of relevant OHS codes, standards and legislation
  • Experience in the delivery of water, sewer or treatment plant infrastructure is preferred, with an understanding and appreciation of environmental issues relating to the design and construction water and sewer infrastructure
  • Clear customer focus when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders with demonstrated commitment to excellence
  • Understanding of commercial contracts and ability to manage, formulate and track individual budgets
  • Broad knowledge of standards and specifications, including relevant WSAA Codes necessary for the design and construction of South East Water’s assets including knowledge of legislation related to the Water Industry

  • This role is remunerated in line with Engineering experience and ranges between $89,021 and $121,370 plus superannuation
