The role
Join our Connections Group within the Liveable Water Solutions branch, where we enable access to water and sewer networks while protecting the integrity of our infrastructure. Through collaboration, education, and a strong focus on safety and environmental health, we enhance experiences for our customers and communities. As Plumbing Services Manager, you’ll report to the Group Manager and play a pivotal role in overseeing complex hydraulic design and installation projects. A key focus of this role is contract management, ensuring our service delivery partners consistently meet performance, safety, and compliance standards across water connection activities.
- Contract Management & Governance: Lead performance monitoring, compliance auditing, management of monthly contract meetings and continuous improvement. Ensure contractor consistently meet agreed service levels, safety standards, and regulatory obligations.
- Service Delivery: Ensure quality, safety, and customer experience standards are upheld for our water connection services for Dry Tappings, Main to Meter, and Check Meter installations, through proactive issue resolution and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Performance & Compliance Monitoring: Develop and implement reporting tools to track service level agreements (SLAs) and performance metrics. Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with technical standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
Who are you?
Your strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills will be key to your success. You’ll also bring:
- Proven experience in contract management, including performance oversight, issue resolution, and commercial acumen.
- Extensive background in the plumbing and construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of recycled water/non-drinking water legislation including legislation and regulatory requirements, including Environment Protection Authority requirements
- Strong understanding of national and state plumbing regulations and standards.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A commercial mindset with experience in business planning and financial management.
