SEW Graduate Program

 

Designed to immerse our Graduates in the business, as a Grad you will take part in a rotation driven program gaining practical experience related to your field of study. The program is designed to foster skill development and provide a strong foundation for your future career.

The role

 

Here’s what you can expect as a Graduate at South East Water:  

 

Rotations and Genuine Roles: You’ll engage in real work by rotating through different roles within the company. These rotations allow you to gain firsthand experience and contribute to meaningful projects.  

 

Company-Wide Involvement: You’ll have the chance to participate in company-wide initiatives and resource groups. This involvement provides exposure to broader organisational activities and helps you understand the company’s overall mission.  

 

Social Impact: The program emphasises positive social impact. You’ll have opportunities to engage with the community and customers, contributing to meaningful projects that make a difference.  

 

Skill Development: Learning and development opportunities are a key aspect. You’ll build critical skills necessary for the evolving workplace, ensuring you’re well-prepared for your career.  

 

Coaching and Mentorship: Throughout the program, you’ll receive coaching and mentoring from experienced professionals. Exposure to senior leaders will further enhance your growth.  

 

Young Professional Network: You’ll have the chance to join the Young Professional Network, connecting with peers and building your professional profile within SEW and the wider water industry.  

 

Graduate Cohort Support: You won’t be alone on this journey. A supportive graduate cohort will be there to guide you every step of the way along with a dedicated Graduate Coach.

Who are you?

 

Joining our team as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you will provide specialist support that ensures we can continue to deliver and improve the reliability of an essential resource. 

 

To be successful in the program you will have:  

 

  • A desire to cultivate new skills and take on challenges  
  • Strong problem-solving abilities combined with a high level of learning agility  
  • The willingness to take part in a rotation driven program, that allows you to explore a variety of areas across the business. 

 

We're accepting applications from candidates that can meet each of the following criteria: 

 

  • You currently hold (or are due to complete) a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, you have or will obtain your qualification in 2023, 2024 or 2025 
  • You are based in Victoria, with the ability to commute to our Waters Edge office in Frankston or are willing to re-locate for the program prior to commencement. 
  • You are an Australian or New Zealand Citizen or hold Australian Permanent Residency

This role is remunerated at a Level 2 which is $88,945 + super.
