The Digital & Transformation Team at South East Water has implemented an exciting operational enhancement to better support the company's strategic priorities. This includes the creation of a newly formed commercial team to enhance our commercial focus and deliver greater business impact. As part of this transformation, there are two key roles we are recruiting for.
The role
The Contract Administrator is an integral member of the Commercial team providing direct support to the Commercial Manager.
The Contract Administrator is responsible for providing a specialised service to ensure South East Water deliver on their contractual obligations, including managing internal stakeholder engagement, contract management activities, managing external stakeholders and utilising high level business acumen and astute decision-making skills, initiative and autonomy in determining which contractual matters to prioritise.
Key responsibilities:
- Administer Digital and Transformation contracts, ensuring compliance with obligations, policies, and procedures
- Oversee contractual correspondence, onboarding, payments, and governance (insurances, licenses, permits)
- Manage non-conformances and safety workflows, resolving safety, quality, and environmental issues
- Facilitate forums and workshops to address improvement opportunities across contractors or workstreams
- Support procurement activities, including market research, tender participant sourcing, and quote requests
- Resolve contractor enquiries independently, with minimal Commercial Manager involvement
Who are you?
- Experience in contract / category management methodologies
- 2+ years’ experience in a supply or operational position and able to work autonomously
- Tertiary/technical qualifications in admin, commerce, law, or engineering
- End-to-end tender experience (scope development, evaluation, award)
- Proficient in MS Office (essential) and SharePoint & Arcus (preferred)
- Strong communication (written, oral, presentations) and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience translating strategy into action plans and tracking progress
- Analytical approach to researching new business opportunities
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply membership preferred

This role is remunerated at a Level 3, which is between $91,691 and $98,501 + super and offers are commensurate with the successful candidates' experience.
