Business Development Manager, Commercial Plumbing

Priority Plumbing provides plumbing and maintenance services to residential, commercial, and utility customers. Operating at the intersection of public and private water networks, the business specialises in resolving complex plumbing challenges and delivering essential infrastructure services. This role will be instrumental in driving the continued growth and diversification of the business as it expands its capabilities and market presence.

The role

 

Reporting to the Head of Priority Plumbing, the Business Development Manager, Commercial Plumbing will drive revenue growth by securing new business opportunities and expanding Priority Plumbing's presence across the water, utilities, infrastructure, government and commercial sectors.

 

Combining business development, bid leadership and commercial expertise, you'll identify new opportunities, build strong customer relationships and lead high-quality tenders and proposals that support the business's ambitious growth strategy.

 

Your key responsibilities will include:

 

  • Identifying, qualifying and securing new business opportunities aligned to strategic growth objectives.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, partners and key stakeholders.
  • Leading the preparation and submission of bids, tenders, EOIs and commercial proposals.
  • Analysing market opportunities and contributing to growth and partnership strategies.
  • Supporting commercial negotiations, contract management and governance activities.

You're a commercially minded business development professional who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and converting them into tangible results. You bring a strategic approach to growth, strong bid management expertise and the ability to influence stakeholders across a range of industries.

 

To be successful, you'll bring:

 

  • Proven experience in business development, bid management or commercial roles, ideally within water, utilities, infrastructure or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success securing new business and leading complex tender and proposal submissions.
  • Strong commercial, contractual and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, presentation and relationship management capabilities.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Engineering, Construction, Commercial Management or a related discipline.
